Established in 1989 by the Vanderburg and Rice Families, Reliant Holdings isa privately-owned liquid carbon dioxide (CO2)and dry ice company that supplies customers throughout the US and Mexico.

The story of Reliant began with the discovery of naturally occurring CO2 in geological formations under the partner’s ranch land in Eastern New Mexico. In June 1989,Reliant established FLOCO2 –initially CO2 Associates– to market the reserves, and then in an effort to diversify and withstand the boom and bust cycle of the oil and gas industry, the partners formed Reliant Gases and Reliant Dry Ice.

The company was founded on the sincere belief of pursuing win-win solutions and exceeding customer expectations, a philosophy which has resulted in the development of extremely strong customer relationships and continual growth.

Today,Reliant Holdings has grown to become a vertically integrated company that through its divisional companies, is capable of supplying the full range of a customers’CO2 requirements.  ReliantHoldings companies include: Reliant Gases (IndustrialBulk Gases), FLOCO2 (OilField Stimulation), Reliant Dry Ice, Reliant Pacific Dry Ice, ReliantAtlantic Group (Dry Ice) as well asReliant Distribution and Reliant Metro Carbonation (Micro-Bulk).

Another entity, Reliant Manufacturing, is responsible for the construction of Reliant Processing’s plants and dry ice facilities through its fully certified ASME coded shop. This shop not only builds &repairs Reliant’s plants, but also does projects for other companies.

Currently, Reliant has operations in the Western, Central and Southern regions of the US. While maintaining a strong local presence, the company aims to strategically grow via additional sourcing opportunities, joint marketing and partnership arrangements, and through strategic acquisitions.

To support its growth, Reliant has developed a large network of supplier and financial service relationships which allow the company to expand and build upon its successes.

Markets

Through our divisional companies, we offer a full complement of carbon dioxide products, delivered through various supply modes to our customers.

Reliant Gases is the largest division within ReliantHoldings and is responsible for supplying the bulk gases and technical expertise to many of the country’ largest users of gases. 

Reliant Distribution and Reliant Metro Carbonation provide micro-bulk supply systems, cylinders, on site nitrogen generators, a full range of beverage gases and safety equipment. They primarily supply restaurants, small breweries and convenience stores.

Combined with FLOCO2 and our three dry ice divisions, Reliant Holdings proves its capabilities asa full-service CO2company.

Scott Vanderburg, President and CEO at Reliant Holdings, explains what he sees driving the demand and growth for dry ice, “A large portion of our dry ice growth is through the traditional business segments in key markets. These include the food processing, biotech & labs, blasting and cleaning and industrial manufacturing industries. Prepared meal distribution is another market that we have seen tremendous growth in and it’s becoming an even larger part of our dry ice sales. We expect the expansion of agricultural and extraction applications to drive new sales in the future.”

Future

“Reliant Gases is working on several projects that we anticipate announcing in the near future that will support our goal of continued growth, enhanced customer service and increased supply reliability,” said David Burdick, Divisions Manager at Reliant Gases. “Our customers continue to pull us into markets, and present us with opportunities, that we don’t even envision at this time.”

Reliant is focused on the technical developments in recovery from non-traditional sources and the associated technology relative to application advances in the utilization of CO2.
